Biography
It started when he was 13. Chris Roth’s father wanted to visit the baseball stadiums around the country. So at his young age, Chris started to plan what would be the first of many family road trips that originated from his creativity and imagination. That trip took them out West and he was forever transformed by what he saw. The beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon, the amazing sights of Yellowstone National Park where animals crossed the road in front of your car, and the awe-inspiring sight of Old Sherman were forever seared in his memory. There were many more trips to follow – to plan and anticipate and enjoy as he bonded with his family.
Fast forward 25 years. Now Chris, as a married man with two small children, heard the call of adventure once again. Delaying the journeys to a later date when the children were older was not an option. Why not allow his children to experience the magnificence of the Rocky Mountains, the historic significance of Sagamore Hill and Oyster Bay, the great cultural diversity of our fellow citizens, and the spectacular and distinctive geography of our land? So he traveled with his young family and realized there was no excuse to deprive small children the opportunity to witness our beautiful country’s splendor. They hiked through our National Parks, talked with park rangers, and although young, became junior rangers – badges and all!
Such exciting experiences inspired Chris to begin his travel blog “No Excuses Travel”. He wanted others to realize the importance of journeys such as he had provided for his family. There are no valid reasons that can justify not taking your children on vacations throughout our States. There are countless family-friendly parks and activities for children of all ages.
So check out his travel blog and read about the many memories of which he has written. You just may instill the same sense of excitement and joy of travelling in your children that Chris found as a child.
